Firebull Mini – convection wood-burning stoves with a solid door

Quick summary: Who are these stoves ideal for?

Firebull Mini stoves with a solid door are highly durable convection wood-burning stoves with a high efficiency of 82%, designed specifically to heat workshops, garages and technical spaces quickly. Thanks to their all-metal tubular construction without glass, they require no maintenance, withstand rougher handling in dusty environments and keep providing heat for up to 6 hours after the last load of wood.

Description: An uncompromising workhorse for demanding use

Looking for a heat source that can take on anything? Convection wood-burning stoves Firebull Mini with a solid door are designed for those who demand maximum output, absolute durability and no unnecessary maintenance. This is not a decorative fireplace – it is an uncompromising heating machine that is not afraid of dirt, dust or rough handling. It reliably heats a space of 40–120 m³ in conditions where ordinary indoor stoves would fail or suffer mechanical damage.

Their robust, all-metal industrial construction is made for harsh environments. They are ideal workshop stoves for any craftsperson or DIY enthusiast who needs immediate, steady heat output during demanding work, without wasting time cleaning soot from glass or dealing with aesthetic details.

Key features for harsh conditions

  • Uncompromising working performance: Efficiency of up to 82% ensures that every log is used effectively. The unique tubular construction inspired by Bullerjan-type stoves guarantees an extremely rapid rise in heat immediately after lighting.
  • No door maintenance: The solid steel door means you do not have to worry about cracked glass or tar deposits. It is designed for purely functional, trouble-free use.
  • Precise combustion control: The combination of front, rear and secondary air supplies (controlled by a damper) lets you easily adjust the output between 2 and 6.5 kW to suit your workshop's current needs.
  • Tubular-arch construction: Like proper tubular stoves, they efficiently draw in cold air from the floor, heat it rapidly in the casing and blow it into the room, maximising heating efficiency.
  • Compact dimensions: A small but surprisingly powerful workhorse that you can easily place even in smaller technical rooms with limited space.

Where are these stoves best suited?

  • Stoves for workshops, garages and car repair shops: An absolute essential in spaces where people work, dust is produced, materials are handled and rapid heat is needed for comfortable working conditions.
  • Construction site cabins and portable cabins: A robust shield against the cold that easily survives frequent moves and rougher handling on construction sites.
  • Agricultural buildings, warehouses and boats: A perfect choice for utility areas, fishing cabins and damp environments that require a reliable heat source.
  • Wine bars and tasting cellars: If you need an absolutely reliable heat source for a private gathering in your cellar, these convection wood-burning stoves are a perfect choice. They provide steady warmth almost immediately and their solid door makes operation entirely undemanding and safe.
  • Garages and DIY workshops: An ideal workhorse for spaces where large doors are often opened and dust and mess are common. As uncompromising workshop stoves, this all-metal version withstands even very rough handling and heats a freezing garage in no time, so you can work comfortably on your weekend project.

Advantages over conventional radiant stoves

Ordinary radiant stoves transfer heat slowly and heat only the air immediately around their casing. Firebull Mini, by contrast, work as highly efficient hot-air stoves. They circulate warm air intensively and evenly throughout the space, a major advantage in a freezing garage or workshop where you need warmth right away, rather than several hours later.

Looking for a more design-oriented solution for a cottage interior or living room? If you want to combine heating performance with the comforting sight of flames, take a look at the Firebull Mini with a glass door.

Frequently asked questions

What warranty do Firebull Mini stoves have?

The warranty period for Firebull Mini convection stoves is 3 years.

What is the service life of Firebull Mini stoves?

The service life of Firebull Mini stoves is 20 years provided they are operated correctly, i.e. without overloading them (heating them until they glow red). This does not occur when the stoves are operated within their specified maximum output.

Can I use the stoves as my main source of heat?

Yes, they can be used as the main source of heat, provided the model is correctly chosen according to its output and heating capacity (40–120 m³ for this model).

What fuel is suitable?

You can burn wood logs or briquettes with a maximum length of 36 cm (the optimal fuel length is 25 cm).

How long do the stoves burn on one full load?

When using dry, unsplit logs of optimal/maximum length and setting the air dampers for a low burn rate, the stoves can keep the fire burning for up to 2 hours without further refuelling.

How long do they give off heat from the last load until they cool completely?

They can burn and radiate heat for up to 6 hours after the last load of dry, unsplit roundwood. This can be achieved by setting the air dampers to minimum and operating the stoves for at least 8 hours, allowing a sufficient bed of hot embers to build up in the firebox. Once completely cooled, the fire must be lit again.

How often must the ash be removed?

Approximately once or twice a month. Firebull stoves have neither a grate nor an ash pan – the fire burns directly on the bottom (tubes). The fire is lit directly on a layer of ash. Remove the ash (with a shovel or vacuum cleaner) only when it reaches the lower edge of the primary air damper (opening). The ash acts as an insulating layer that protects the bottom of the stove from direct heat, and repeated burning leaves only a minimal amount of fine dust.

How can I prevent soot and tar deposits?

Use only sufficiently dry wood, ideally with a moisture content of up to 20%. Wet wood releases moisture that causes soot to form. Correct adjustment is also essential – do not leave the air supply permanently throttled down completely. A lack of oxygen prevents proper combustion and creates thick smoke.

Can I use the stoves in a mobile home or on a boat?

Yes, the solid-door version is very popular for these purposes. For boats and caravans in particular, we recommend this solid-door version, which is more resistant to vibration and more demanding handling conditions.

How can I prevent smoke escaping from the stoves when adding wood?

Ideally, add wood when the previous load has burned down almost to glowing embers. If the flue pipe has a chimney damper, make sure it is 100% open. Before opening the door fully, open both the primary and secondary air supplies completely.

Carefully release the handle and open the door only about 1 to 2 cm. Wait 5 to 10 seconds for the flue gases to be drawn safely into the chimney (this equalises the pressure between the firebox and the room and lets the stove establish the necessary draught so that smoke does not immediately escape into the living space). Open the door fully, quickly and safely add the required amount of logs, and immediately close the door again.

Does the paint on Firebull stoves need to be heat-cured?

Yes, the paint must be heat-cured before first use. This process is important for properly hardening the stove's surface finish.

Heat-curing procedure:

  1. Heat the stove gradually and, during the first firing, gradually bring it up to its specified maximum output.
  2. Once maximum output has been reached, maintain it for approximately 2 hours.
  3. Ensure adequate ventilation of the room during heat-curing. Odour and smoke may appear during the process as substances are released from the heat-curing paint.
  4. After completing the process, allow the stove to cool completely.

Heat-curing can also be carried out outdoors, eliminating the need to ventilate a room. If you want to heat-cure the stove outdoors, follow this procedure:

  1. Place the stove in a safe location suitable for its operation.
  2. Connect a flue pipe at least 2 m high. This height should be sufficient for heat-curing the paint.
  3. Heat the stove gradually and, during the first firing, gradually bring it up to its specified maximum output.
  4. Once maximum output has been reached, maintain it for approximately 2 hours.
  5. Odour and smoke may appear during the process as substances are released from the heat-curing paint.
  6. After completing the process, allow the stove to cool completely.
  7. Once it has cooled completely, you can move and install the stove in its intended place indoors.

Warning: Significant odour and smoke may occur during the first heat-curing. This is normal and is caused by the hardening of the heat-curing paint.
